A trip to Asia: Dublin-based Food Adventures

We know, we know. This year has been a drag – you had planned your summer break in Thailand, you had saved up for your Christmas tour of Bali. All to be postponed indefinitely – well, definitely for 2021.

We’re the same! Our team at DBS Travel Agency thrives on exploring new places and creating amazing planned tours for you! But rest assured, just because we can’t board a plane, does not mean there are no adventures to be had.

We’ve scoured our local city of Dublin and with the help of our favorite two-wheel friends at Deliveroo, have been able to keep up our habit of exploring exotic cuisines and burning our tongues on spicy, spicy peppers.

So here are our top picks of Asian restaurants in the capital of the Emerald Isle. Take a culinary tour with us to satisfy your curiosity and do your good act of the day: supporting our local businesses!

1.     Japanese

EatTokyo on Wellington Quay is amazing for, as the name implies, authentic Japanese food. Now, we know what you’re thinking: time for sushi!

It’s indeed one of the best places for sushi in the capital. Their selection will satisfy experienced taste buds but rest assured, this is a great place to start exploring the cuisine as well. An EatTokyo platter would be great for a not-so-boring-at-all evening in: you’ll find everything from maki rolls to sashimi.

Not feeling courageous enough for raw seafood?

Do not fret, this small restaurant has a big menu. A quick look at their rice and noodle options will have your stomach rumbling. To keep things authentic and strictly Japanese, we recommend the Chicken Katsu Curry: juicy breadcrumped chicken breast with sticky rice – easy, understated, delicious!

2.     Vietnamese

Now, this is an option perfect for the cold nights of winter. Have you ever tried Pho?

This popular dish is essentially a highly fragrant broth with a selection of seasonal vegetables and a protein of your choice. It never fails: meat eaters, seafood lovers, you name it, there’s a pho for you.

Try Pho Kim – located in the heart of Dublin, this small restaurant delivers in a 3.5km radius.

Apart from Pho, you will of course find a variety of side dishes to accompany your main meal – did someone say spring rolls?

Of course, the city has much more to offer. Take a tip from us: the next time you go on your nightly walk, look around you. See that small restaurant window you always passed by but never went in – now is the time!

As flights out of the country are on hold, explore your neighborhood and support the local economy in a simple and fun way!

SEO:

This post targets short tail keywords: “Dublin food adventures”, “Asian food in Dublin”, and long tail: “How can I support small businesses in Dublin”

Again, this post deviates a bit from our regular posts, but the sprinkling of these local-feel posts within the blog can make us more relevant in location-based searches. Also, this post could be an opportunity for collaboration with other businesses: for example, it could be the start of a series where we highlight local restaurants by category. As a strategy, we could contact these restaurants ask them for a quid pro quo, such a small mention in their social media that would direct traffic to our blog and by extension to our Travel Agency.

The structure of the post is easy to read, separated in sections and the direct questions can create a relatable feel for the reader, improving the quality of their experience and their connection to our brand.

  1. Brilliant idea to showcase Asian food in Dublin, especially since we can’t travel at the moment.
Being from Dublin, and a big fan of Japanese food, I had never heard of EatToyko, so I am excited to try it somewhere new.
Pho sounds amazing too and guaranteed to warm us all up coming into the Winter, and spring rolls, total comfort food!
I think it’s so important that we all support our local businesses during this time, and it doesn’t mean we still can’t take a food trip around the world!

  4. Thank you for sharing. Although i dont live in Dublin.. but enjoy the food you are talking about.

I enjoy PHO- as it is very easy to make and once you get the hang of it, one can play around with a ton of flavors and ingredients.

I do also enjoy a good katsu curry. The crispy chicken with that curry on rice is amazing!

Wagamama does a really mean one! :)
